Our Work Process

We usually use the following process to increase quality of translation (especially for large and urgent projects within our team):
  1. Preparation stage. Compilation of glossaries of frequent words and phrases in source text with help of Trados Multiterm Extract and/or manually. Translation and proofreading of these words and phrases. This will help to avoid inconsistencies in translation of several people even before starting translation. Additionally, the client can approve these terms.
  2. Desktop publishing and various formats conversions (optional). It can be also done after translation.
  3. Translation with daily deliverables to track progress and make initial proofreading. We use the largest English, German - Russian on-line dictionary Multitran, a great deal of Lingvo dictionaries, Google to search for correct usage of terminology, Microsoft glossaries and TRES server for software localization projects, Proz.com Kudoz glossaries and forums, various forums for translators, translation memories for CAT tools accumulated in previous similar projects, etc.
  4. Review of translation by our proofreader. This can be either a linguistic proofreading, or a technical one, or both (depending on project requirements).
  5. QA checks:
If Trados used: checks with Trados 2007 QA tools.
If SDLX used: checks with SDLX 2007 QA tools.
If Logoport used: checks with Logoport QA tools.
    And so on.
  6. QA checks with Aspic Xbench QA tool for inconsistencies in 100% matches, numeric mismatches, checklist for important terms.
  7. Post-translation check of inconsistencies in fuzzy matches with Multiterm Extract.
  8. Final QA: We make final spell checking, review if translation meets client's requirements. We also use Language ToolBox QA software. It can check spelling and grammar, inconsistencies, punctuation, specific rules for the project, etc. in multiple files at one time and generate reports.
